Stockton North MP Alex Cunningham visited St Cuthbert’s RC Primary School last Monday (13 December 2010) to present a gift voucher to Jack Temple, aged 10, for designing the MP’s Christmas Card.
Earlier in the year Alex contacted all the primary schools in Stockton North encouraging them to get pupils involved in the competition to design a card.
The number and quality of entries was very positive and the winning design was selected personally by Alex who then presented Jack with his prize.
Alex said: “It has been a lot of fun putting this competition together and the large number of children who entered produced some fantastic designs. Judging the competition was very difficult, but Jack’s design particularly caught my eye. I would also like to thank the Headteacher and staff at St Cuthbert’s, as well as the other schools in my constituency, for taking part in the competition.”
