Shadow Energy Secretary Caroline Flint MP will be on Teesside next Saturday as keynote speaker at a special event for women to have their say on a range of issues affecting their lives.
Organised by Stockton North MP, Alex Cunningham, the event is open to all women in the area and they’ll have the chance to discuss a range of topics including Women and Crime, Child Care, and the Economy and Pensions.
The event will run from 10:00-12:30 on Saturday 2 March 2013 at the Jim Cooke Conference Room behind Stockton Central Library.
“I believe it is critical that women are given opportunities like this to make their views known about the issues that are affecting their lives and we hope people from across the Tees Valley will take up the opportunity.
“It is great that Caroline can be in Stockton to listen to what women in our area have to say and then work with local MPs to ensure the concerns and comments are fed into the policies of the future to better address them.”
Any women wishing to attend the event should telephone Alex’s office on 01642 345291 to book their place. Entry is free and refreshments will be provided.
