Businesses in the Stockton Borough Area were today encouraged to apply for Rounds 3 and 4 of the Advanced Manufacturing Supply Chain Initiative (AMSI) which has already helped Kamtex Limited in the area. The deadline for applications for round 3 in on 29th May, and round 4 closes on 16th October.
The scheme is designed to help British advanced manufacturing companies improve their competitiveness down the supply chain and designed to arrest the decline in manufacturing.
Alex said:
“I would encourage all eligible businesses in the Stockton Borough area to bid for funds under the Advanced Manufacturing Supply Chain Initiative, which is a useful scheme, though it will not be enough to bring success to a manufacturing sector which has struggled under the weight of the failed economic policies of the Conservative-led Government.
“Kamtex Limited in Stockton have already been awarded money under the scheme, and I would be keen to see more success stories from our area get involved before the deadlines in February and October.”
