Alex welcomes support for local charities

  • The Labour MP for Stockton North MP, Alex Cunningham, today welcomed support from the Lloyds TSB charitable Foundation for England and Wales.

The grants were made to four charities; A Way Out; the Eastern Ravens Trust; Hardwick in Partnership Ltd and the Stockton Churches Mission to the Single Homeless.

The funding, which totals £68,000 across the four organisations, will be used to cover staffing and running costs, as part of their £1m investment in charities in the North East.

    Alex said:

I know from first-hand experience just how worthy A Way Out, Eastern Ravens Trust, Hardwick in Partnership and the Stockton Churches Mission to the Single Homeless are of support, and how much essential work each of them does for our community in Stockton.

I am very pleased that the Lloyds TSB Foundation for England and Wales has made these charitable donations. The overall level of funding that they provide to causes right around the country is very impressive, and I hope they continue to see the potential of the great organisations we have right here in Stockton.
