Local employment opportunities are available on Barratt Homes’ Norton Road site, and Stockton North MP Alex Cunningham is encouraging people to take these up.
This follows the announcement that work will start on the site in around six weeks’ time. Alex, who has been campaigning to see some movement on the development site, has also been in discussion with Barratt Homes about ensuring local people have access to prospective job opportunities.
Jobs available include site managers, assistant site managers, brick layers, joiners, labourers and forklift drivers, and any interested tradespeople have been asked to call 0191 493 3800. Barratt Homes are also interested to hear from other building subcontractors such as ground workers, fencers, roofers, scaffolders, plumbers, electricians, painters. Any interested subcontractors should call 0191 493 3800.
While campaigning on the issue of the Norton Road site, I’ve always been keen to stress that local people should benefit from the work that this development provides. I’m therefore delighted to see that Barratt is actively seeking to recruit local workers and urge any interested people to get in touch with Barratt Homes
