Providing better housing – Nationwide Community Grant programme

Nationwide has launched its community grants programme, with the aim of bringing together local communities to provide better housing, and Stockton North MP, Alex Cunningham, is encouraging all Nationwide members in his constituency to vote for their local charities.

Nationwide is looking to fund projects that improve local housing issues and form regional Community Boards made up Nationwide members, employees and local charity partners. Fifteen charities have been shortlisted, with local organisations such as Changing Lives, Action Foundation and My Sisters Place on the list.

Alex said:

Everyone deserves a decent place to live and be happy and secure in their home. I’m pleased to see organisations pull together to tackle the problems surrounding housing need, and hope to see charities supporting residents of Stockton North benefiting from this community grant programme.”

Voting opens on 23 October and closes 17 November, and winning charities will share £250k of the grant funding.
