Stockton North MP, Alex Cunningham, has welcomed Tees-based LGB/T charity, Hart Gables, into Stockton following its recent expansion into premises at Newtown Resource Centre.
Alex was at an event organised by Hart Gables and supported by 60 organisations, held at Stockton Library. The event – ‘Celebrating Change’ – was a showcase of the work the charity has done over the past 18 months, and an opportunity for Hart Gables to launch its latest Trans and Non-Binary project.
I’m delighted to see Hart Gables set up an office in Stockton North. The charity has done some great work over the past 15 years and has really supported people across the entire Tees Valley, so it’s great to see them have a permanent presence in Stockton.
Hart Gables expanded to Newtown Resource Centre in July 2017, and is driving forward the creation of the Tees Valley’s very first LGB/T Tees Valley forum, which looks to bring together organisations to build a more inclusive set of services for LGB/T people in the Tees Valley.
