Alex encourages applications to EON’s Energising Communities Fund

E.ON has re-opened its Energising Communities Fund, and Stockton North MP, Alex Cunningham is encouraging organisations in Stockton North to apply for grants worth up to £2,000.

The funding is open to charities and other groups, and is to cover full or partial costs of energy-related improvements and activities. Recognising that energy costs can significantly impact to the overall running costs of a charity, the aim of the fund is to support charities or community groups to become more sustainable and promote energy efficiency.

Charities and community groups do great work in Stockton North, but are unfortunately often financially restricted due to energy costs and other bills. E.ON’s Energising Communities Fund is designed to support organisations to become more energy efficient, reduce costs and allow them to get on with the good work they do.

I’d encourage all interested charities and community groups to apply for this fund.

Since launching the fund, £140,000 has been distributed to almost 85 community groups nationwide. Organisations must submit a request by 29 January 2018. More information can be found via www.eonenergy.com/community.
