The Chief Executive of Whitbread has told local MP Alex Cunningham that discussions are being held about the future of the former Swallow Hotel site.
Alex wrote to Whitbread in January urging them to make clear their intentions for the site, which has been empty since the hotel closed in the summer of 2009.
“I am very pleased that discussions are taking place about the future of the former Swallow Hotel site”, Alex said today.
“People in Stockton deserve to know what is happening to the building which is in a prime location in the town centre. I have asked to be kept up-to-date with the discussions being held and am hopeful that progress will be made in the near future.”
