Community groups across Stockton could win up to £25,000 for local projects

The Aviva Community Fund launch has been welcomed by Stockton North MP Alex Cunningham.

The fund, which supported 450 projects in 2016, offers community groups the chance to win funding in support of a wide array of categories from skills for life, health and wellbeing, and community support projects. All community groups have to do is fill in a short form and get as many people they can to vote for their idea. Those projects that receive the most votes will judged in the final before the winners are announced.

Alex said:

“Whether it’s getting a local project off the ground, or funding a well-established local cause, the Aviva Community Fund competition is a great initiative. Community groups across Stockton North can really benefit from this grant, and I urge them to submit an application and spread the word to get those much needed votes for the final.”

Previous winners include garden projects, community sports events, and funding for a charity working with deaf adults. Applications close on 10 October at 12 noon. More information can be found at www.aviva.co.uk/good-thinking/community-fund
