Find out more about TV in your region
  • Digital UK supports Freeview viewers and channels. We provide viewers with information about their options for receiving terrestrial TV and advice on reception and equipment.

Here you can check your options for receiving terrestrial TV and get advice on reception and equipment.

You can also find out more about the channels available through an aerial at your address by using the coverage checker above.

Keep up-to-date with any important changes to services in your area by visiting the page for your TV region.

  • Freeview offers more than 40 subscription-free television channels, digital radio and interactive services via an aerial.

High-definition channels from the BBC, ITV and Channel 4 are also available if you have a Freeview HD television or digital box.

With Freeview+ you can record programmes or a whole series at the touch of a button, as well as pause and rewind live TV.

If you would like extra channels, you may wish to opt for additional subscription or internet connected services, such as Youview, Top Up TV or BT Vision.

  • With Freeview most people will receive more than 40 TV channels; some people around 20, depending on where they live.

Your Freeview channel line up may vary depending on which transmitter serves your address.

You can check which channels should be available at your address using our coverage checker.

  • You should retune your Freeview TVs and digital boxes from time to time to ensure you are receiving all available services.

Retuning takes only a few minutes and can be done with your remote control.

Visit our retuning pages for more information.

  • Changes and future improvements to terrestrial TV services sometimes require engineering work on transmitters.

While every effort is made to minimise the impact on viewers some disruption is inevitable.

Check here for an update on engineering works affecting your region.
