Alex opens new business centre in Stockton

Last week, Alex Cunningham officially opened Onyx Group’s new business continuity centre in Teesside. Based at Onyx Group’s HQ, it is the only facility of its kind in Teesside and bolsters the Group’s business continuity offering.

Alex said: “The success of Onyx to date is testament to the Group’s hard work and determination. It is great to see a local company grow into a national technology provider with a UK wide footprint and expansion plans still underway.

“Our area is renowned for its growing world-class digital and technology expertise and highly skilled workforce. With companies such as Onyx continuing to innovate, providing first class service as well as investing in infrastructure to support the local business community, we are sure to cement our reputation as a knowledge based economy.”

Providing 100 recovery seats, it is the Group’s latest expansion and adds to its 260 seat Newcastle facility and also its continuity centres in London, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

“At a time of cutbacks, job losses and general doom and gloom, it’s good to talk about something positive that is happening in the region,” said Neil Stephenson, CEO, Onyx Group. “This latest expansion is another step in the right direction for Onyx as we aim to create a UK wide footprint, providing key technology services to national and regional businesses.”
